Training

It is a requirement of the European Directive (Directive 2004/23/EC and 2006/17/EC) that personnel working in the field of tissue banking are trained. The EATCB provides training workshops for members at the annual congress.

 

Grants

EATCB also supports training by offering two new grants for its members. Details of EATCB grants and how to apply are provided in "Members" section.

Cell & Tissue Banking Journal

Another benefit of EATCB membership is free online access to Cell & Tissue Banking Journal. Details of how to gain access are given in "Members" section.

TPM support

Also, EATCB supports the TPM (Transplant Procurement Management) "Tissue banking and advanced therapies Program". This is for the education and certification of tissue processing professionals and aims to validate specialised training models among tissue establishment personnel.
